It was after I watched “The Inconvenient Truth” by Al Gore that I decided I can’t just sit back and observe the environmental impacts to Earth. I felt compelled to take action. As a working mother of two young children, I struggled with what I could do that would offer the most impact toward helping better our environment and the state of the Earth. After some deliberation, I came to the realization that any effort I made would be better than nothing. I decided to put my passion, talents, and energy into something that interested me the most. At the same time, I wanted to foster the “keep it simple” philosophy behind my actions so that others might feel empowered to follow my lead without dragging along the burden that change can offer. So out came the website and idea behind Ease into Green. My intention was to show others that going green can be simple and easy. It can also be a cost effective approach to saving the Earth one step at a time. Minor transformations in your everyday practices can have major impacts on the environment. I also found that as I began to go green, I felt more empowered and encouraged that change can be effective and that it starts with each one of us. I also found that each step that I made toward living a green life made me feel better about myself. The fact that you are reading this inspires me to believe that we are all becoming awakened to the needs of the Earth and the environment. We can all unite and make changes starting today. I thank you for your interest and efforts toward helping our mother Earth and the species that inhabit it.
